Porter Keadle Moore accounting and advisory firm (PKM) welcomes Connie Johnson to join the Risk Advisory Services team as a Regulatory Compliance Consultant.

Prior to joining PKM in 2017, Connie spent over four years with the FDIC as a BSA specialist where she planned and conducted BSA/AML/CIP and OFAC examinations of both community banks as well as larger, more complex institutions. During that time she also served as BSA Examiner in Charge of exams in Georgia, Delaware and Maryland. Before her role with the FDIC, she spent nearly 10 years as a controller, financial analyst and operations manager for numerous community banks in Georgia including: Community Bank of Rockmart/Century Bank of Ga, Highland Commercial Bank, and Northwest Bank & Trust/State Bank & Trust. As such, she brings extensive experience in both the regulatory and banking industry to our risk advisory team.

Connie has significant experience in financial reporting, accounting processes, deposit operations, compliance cash management, accounts payables, network administration, bank security and branch operations. She has developed examination skills in regards to Bank Secrecy Act Exams to include; developing exam scope, reviewing policies, procedures, and processes related to BSA/AML/OFAC rules and regulations and transaction testing to ensure adequate internal controls.

While her specialty is with BSA compliance, working for community banks has given her experience and training for all types of loan, deposit and mortgage compliance.
