Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman has been selected to join the Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF) Board of Directors.
As the only public foundation in Georgia dedicated solely to women and girls, the AWF exists to be a catalyst for change and to end generational poverty.

Mr. Wasserman is extremely active in the Atlanta community, serving on the board of directors and as a member of the Executive Committee of Equal Justice Works and the Metro Atlanta Chamber. He is also a member of the Georgia Tech Parents Advisory Board. He recently served as co-chair of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society Capital Campaign.
Most recently, Mr. Wasserman participated in the Women in Law Hackathon, a competition between teams of lawyers from 56 other law firms to improve the retention and advancement of women in Big Law.
As managing partner of Sutherland for 11 years, Mr. Wasserman provides strategic leadership to the firm, with a focus on client service. An experienced business lawyer, he has advised clients globally on a broad spectrum of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and issues relating to federal and state securities laws.
