Bennett Thrasher LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of four firm professionals to partnership, effective July 1, 2016. The new partners are Betsi Barrett, Ben Miller, Alana Mueller and Michael Thrasher.

Betsi Barrett, of the firm’s Credits and Incentives practice works with private companies to provide valuable federal and state credits and incentives counsel. She specializes in Research and Development tax credits, Section 199 Domestic Production Activity deductions, tangible property regulations, Georgia retraining credits, alternative fuel and alternative energy credits, and other federal and state credits and incentives. She has over 10 years of experience serving companies in a variety of industries, including technology, software, manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceutical, energy, government contractors and construction.
Ben Miller, PhD, leads the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice. He has extensive experience preparing economic analyses that evaluate the pricing of intercompany transactions involving tangible goods, intangible property, services and loans. Ben teams with clients in a wide range of industries to design, implement, maintain and defend pricing policies that comply with transfer pricing rules and achieve strategic business objectives.
Alana Mueller, CPA, of the firm’s Financial Reporting and Assurance practice and Captive Insurance practice has extensive experience providing accounting, auditing and consulting services to clients in the insurance industry, including property & casualty and life insurance companies, foreign and domestic captives and guaranty associations. Her experience also includes serving both domestic and international clients from start-ups to large markets within the private sector. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, professional services, broker-dealers, private equity funds and employee benefit plans.
Michael Thrasher, CPA, CFP, PFS, of the firm’s Personal Financial Services practice provides comprehensive financial and tax planning advice to business owners, corporate executives, and other high net worth individuals. He frequently advises clients on investment allocation, estate, retirement and insurance planning, income tax planning and compliance for individuals, partnerships, fiduciaries and S corporations.
