Aimee Craig Carlson
PulteGroup, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has hired Aimee Craig Carlson as Director of Land Planning and Entitlement for its Southeast Florida Division. She joins a team that is actively seeking opportunities from Miami to Vero Beach.
“Aimee brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in navigating the approval process for new residential communities,” said Brent Baker, Division President for PulteGroup in South Florida. “Her role is crucial as we expand into Miami-Dade County, a geographical area she has experience in and is very familiar with when it comes to the entitlement and zoning processes.”
Carlson began her career as a senior planner for the Palm Beach County Department of Planning, Zoning & Building. She then moved into the private sector, working for Centex Homes as director of land entitlement several years before PulteGroup acquired it. Over the next 12 years, she provided director-level services including site evaluation and acquisition, due diligence, government relations, entitlement and permitting to development and investment firms before joining PulteGroup.
“The opportunity to be part of a leadership team committed to increasing its footprint drew me to Pulte,” said Carlson said. “I look forward to contributing bringing new communities from land acquisition to visioning to reality.”
PulteGroup’s South Florida operations are based in Palm Beach Gardens. The division builds between 800-900 homes a year priced from the high $200s to over $1 million. Some current projects include The Fields in Lake Worth, Del Webb Tradition in St. Lucie County, and Magnolia Court in Vero Beach.
With home offices in Atlanta, PulteGroup is one of America’s largest homebuilding companies with operations in more than 40 markets throughout the country. Its brand portfolio includes Centex, Pulte Homes, Del Webb, DiVosta Homes and John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods and American West.
