Enjoy New Orleans-themed sips, snacks, music and more in the heart of Midtown Atlanta

WHAT: In celebration of Fat Tuesday, the last day of the Carnival season, Colony Square will transform its 10,000-square-foot open-air Plaza into Midtown’s own Bourbon Street during its annual “Mardi Gras On The Square.” On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the community is invited to don their best purple, gold and green attire, and let the good times roll with New Orleans-themed libations, live music, Mardi Gras swag and more.

Beginning at 4 p.m., guests are invited to experience the Mardi Gras festivities, including soulful performances by a New Orleans-inspired jazz band and roaming entertainment brought by stilt walkers, jugglers, mimes and more. Upon arrival, guests who are signed up for Colony Square’s e-newsletter or follow the mixed-use destination on Instagram will be treated to complimentary, pre-packaged king cakes and a classic Hurricane cocktail.

Throughout the event, Colony Square restaurants and retailers will offer Louisiana-inspired cuisines and specials. Participating restaurants and retailers include AYA Med Spa, 5Church Atlanta, Brown Bag Seafood, IPIC and Sukoshi. For the full list of specials, visit colonysquare.com/mardi-gras-on-the-square.

In addition, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Lisa’s Creperie Truck will be set up in The Front Loop along Peachtree Street, offering Midtowners French-inspired crepes.

To ensure the health and safety of guests, capacity will be limited and social distancing will be strongly enforced in the open-air space. All bites and experiences from the participating retailers and restaurants will be COVID-friendly. Masks are required on property for all guests when not eating or drinking.
