Middleburg Communities Managing Partner, Chris Finlay, will participate in the upcoming Information Management Network’s (IMN) Build-to-Rent (B2R) Virtual Forum on March, 16, 2021. Mr. Finlay will speak on the panel titled, Crystal Balling the Future of Homebuilding and the Role of Build-to-Rent, addressing issues regarding industry stakeholders, trends in consumer behaviors driving demand for the product, the outlook for cap rates and insights on deals and activity within the industry. Mr. Finlay is joining the IMN forum after launching Middleburg Communities’ The HamletSFR initiative in September 2020. The Hamlet program is an innovative approach that satisfies the growing demand for single family rental properties in high growth southeastern markets. Mr. Finlay is committed to giving back to the community. He is the founder and Chairman of Shelters to Shutters, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty for those experiencing situational homelessness, through a network of local non-profit organizations and the multifamily industry. Mr. Finlay is also on the Board of Directors for the National Multifamily Housing Council and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Finlay served seven years in the United States Marine Corps and graduated with Honors from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina.
