Celebrate the Atlanta tradition with parade highlights, cozy firepits and delectable treats
WHAT: In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Christmas Parade, Colony Square will host a special viewing party for guests in the open-air Plaza. On Sunday, Dec. 6, holiday revelers are invited to experience a festive afternoon of parade highlights, merry activities and more. Tickets for individual winter pods, featuring a central fire pit and seating for up to five, are on sale now. All ticket proceeds will benefit CHOA.
To keep the annual Christmas Parade tradition alive, CHOA and Colony Square pivoted to bring Atlantans the parade they know and love, but in a safe and socially distanced way. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., friends and families are invited to cozy up in their personal winter pods, while WSB-TV’s top highlights from past CHOA Christmas Parades are broadcast on the massive LED screen above The Plaza. Throughout the showing, parade lovers can snack on warm s’mores and popcorn, participate in holiday activities and enjoy the newly winterized Plaza, complete with twinkling lights and holiday magic.
While at Colony Square, guests are invited to safely walk around the magically decorated mixed-use destination and take in the holly jolly decor, including the massive Instagram-worthy Santa Chair located in The Grove.
