All proceeds from fresh-cut farm trees, wreaths and gift wrapping will benefit the Atlanta nonprofit
The most wonderful time of the year is finally here, and this holiday season, Alpharetta mixed-use destination Avalon has partnered with local nonprofit City of Refuge to provide a new festive experience for the community. Beginning Nov. 23, holiday revelers are invited to discover the first-ever City of Refuge Christmas Tree Sale, featuring 400 farm-fresh cut trees, wreaths and garland. The lot will remain open until all trees are sold.
“During this season of giving, we’re proud to partner with City of Refuge to bring new meaning to the timeless tradition of picking out a beautiful Christmas tree,” said Lauren Ness, marketing manager at Avalon. “By purchasing a tree at Avalon, the community has the opportunity to play a role in shining a light and changing a life right here in Atlanta.”
The tree lot will offer an incredible collection of Fraser Firs and Balsam Firs in a variety of sizes, ranging from small tabletops to grand 10 footers. The lot will also offer a selection of holiday greenery, including beautiful wreaths, garland and more. All proceeds from the lot will support City of Refuge. Also this year, City of Refuge will host a gift wrapping station inside the Holiday Market at Avalon, a festive pop-up market located at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard and 1st Street. Featuring 11 local women-owned businesses, the market is a one-stop shop for holiday gift-giving. After picking out the perfect gifts for friends and family, guests can visit the wrapping station to have their presents beautifully wrapped in one of five seasonal papers. The cost of wrapping will vary depending on the size of the item.

Throughout the holiday season, Avalon will be activated with a variety of festive experiences, including a 12-day tree lighting celebration, the Avalon on Ice skating rink, pop-up concerts, merry cocktail hours, special experiences with Santa and more.
In addition to the ongoing safety precautions taken at Avalon, several new preventative measures will be implemented for the holiday season. Each holiday experience will incorporate special protocols, such as pre-purchased tickets to control crowds, frequent cleanings and sanitization around property, encouraging the use of masks and more.
