Claro Insurance (Claro), one of the nation’s fastest growing insurance technology platforms, recently expanded from Florida, Texas and Georgia into five new states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Kansas and Mississippi. Claro offers traditional health and life insurance as well as ACA/Obamacare, Medicare Advantage and supplemental insurance products.

“Claro Insurance is a platform that provides agents and agencies with the tools to optimize their efficiency and better service their clients ,” said Gamil Kharfan, Claro’s Chief Executive Officer. “We have high expectations for continued growth and are focused on enhancing our value proposition to our agents.”

Claro has been able to grow with its agents and agencies by providing high quality markets and a sophisticated agent portal that helps reduce paperwork and administrative burdens, enabling them to focus on increasing their books of business. Founded in 2015, Claro currently fields more than 2,300 independent insurance agents, up almost 1,000 in 2020. The company has sales of $150 million – with projections to reach $300 million in 2021 at an average monthly premium of $13 million.

The firm has established partnerships with well-known insurance providers such United Healthcare, Humana, Oscar, Cigna, Ambetter and Molina, among others.

“At Claro, we help our agency partners grow through data driven strategies, to help them market themselves in a way that differentiates them in the marketplace,” said Kharfan. “With Medicare Advantage enrollment in progress and Obamacare Open Enrollment around the corner, this expansion couldn’t come at a better time.”
