The community is invited to read, socialize and safely gather at Book Boutique beginning in October

Book Boutique, one of Atlanta’s premier Black-owned multicultural book stores, today announces plans to open its newest location at Atlantic Station, the iconic mixed-use destination in West Midtown. The experiential book store and lounge will host a soft opening on Sept. 26, with plans to be fully open to the public on Oct. 3.

Monique Hall is opening the Atlantic Station location alongside her husband, Rodney Daniel. Hall said of the new location, “Our goal has always been to create an environment for people to rediscover the joy of reading and experience books in a new way. We provide something for the whole family, a one-stop-shop for reading, socializing, playing and gathering. With our new location at Atlantic Station, we hope to act as a go-to destination for the community, and we’re excited to take part in the property’s next phase.”

Book Boutique will offer an all-encompassing literary experience from weekly programming to high-profile book launches. Located at 260 18th Street, the 10,300-square-foot space will feature a furnished bookstore on the right side of the space and a cafe, which is slated to open in November, with light bites and beverages on the left. The bookstore will promote the launches of both local and national books, as well as boast a collection on a wide range of topics, including nonfiction, fiction, cookbooks, SAT prep, children’s books and more.

“Reigniting the sense of community is a top priority of Atlantic Station, whether it’s through guests taking a yoga class on the Green, sharing a meal at one of our restaurants or interacting with the art around property,” said Kristie Ray, director of marketing at Hines. “Book Boutique shares this value and unites people through a fun, educational environment. We are thrilled to have them join our mix.”

Each week, Book Boutique will be activated with daily events including tutoring on Tuesdays, wine nights on Wednesdays, circle time for children on Saturdays and so much more. Each Sunday in October, Book Boutique will also host a Black Lives Matter/Breast Cancer-themed sip and paint. Book Boutique will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with adjusted hours for special events. Once the cafe opens, the store will open at 6 a.m. and close at 11 p.m. on weekdays and midnight on weekends.

Book Boutique is the latest retailer to join the diverse tenant mix as part of Atlantic Station’s massive transformation, which is slated for completion in October coinciding with the property’s 15th anniversary. With additional tenants on tap to be announced this fall, Atlantic Station plans to celebrate the opening of HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern, Bowerlo, envegan, Azotea Cantina and more.
