Experience weekly live music atop the mixed-use destination’s helipad

WHAT: Calling all Atlanta jazz lovers: Starting on Sept. 17, Colony Square in Midtown is bringing its award-winning elevated musical experience, Jazz in the Sky, back to the mixed-use destination’s helipad. Each session for this year’s exclusive three-week series will have a limited capacity, and tickets will go on sale Thursday, Sept. 10.

Every Thursday between Sept. 17 and Oct. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., guests will be transported 320 feet in the air to soak in breathtaking views of Midtown, Buckhead and beyond while relaxing to live jazz entertainment led by America’s Got Talent semifinalist Jacob Deaton. Event attendees are encouraged to bring their own light bites and beverages or purchase takeout from one of Colony Square’s delicious restaurants to enjoy throughout the evening. Tickets are $35 per person and all proceeds will benefit The Atlanta Jazz Festivaland Bert’s Big Adventure.

Masks are required upon entry from check-in to the helipad and social distancing will be strongly enforced. The full list of safety precautions being taken at Colony Square can be found here.

In addition to the return of Jazz In The Sky, the newly completed Plaza at Colony Square will officially open to the public following local nonprofit City of Refuge’s annual fundraising event, The Gathering, which will be held at Colony Square on Oct. 8. After The Gathering, Colony Square plans to host weekly signature events in the open-air greenspace throughout the month of October, including comedy nights on Mondays, yoga classes on Wednesdays and live music on Fridays.
