Guests and office workers can enjoy live lunchtime music, a virtual meditation practice and more

WHAT: In continuation of Better Together, the COVID-19 response program North American Properties (NAP) launched at Colony Square in May, the mixed-use destination is tailoring its annual signature events series to safely welcome guests and office workers back to the property. Starting this week, Colony Square will introduce events that align with its Better Together safety protocols and precautions, such as socially distant to-go lunches and live music as well as a virtual Summer Solstice meditation practice.

Midtowners are invited to ease back into the work groove with “Lunchtime Live,” happening every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. starting June 18. Attendees can grab a to-go lunch from one of Colony Square’s delicious restaurants and relax in The Front Loop along Peachtree Street while recharging to live music from local Atlanta favorites. Lilac Wine will kick off the live music series this Thursday, and social distancing will be strictly enforced.

To welcome summer and celebrate new beginnings, nama(stay) at home and head to Colony Square’s IGTV on June 20for “Summer Solstice On The Square,” a virtual 45-minute mindful meditation and yoga session led by Dancing Dogs Yoga. The virtual practice will debut at 9 a.m. in the presence of Aurora, the massive art mural at Colony Square symbolizing hope, transcendence and the coming of a new day. Participants are encouraged to donate $10 to one of three suggested charities: the Center for Women’s Wellness, the At-Promise Youth and Community Center and the Metro Atlanta Mutual Aid Fund.

In July, “Midtown Mornings in the Sky,” a weekly breakfast networking event for Colony Square office workers, will be hosted every Friday at 7:30 a.m. atop the mixed-use destination’s helipad. The series will kick off on July 10.
