Proceeds to benefit North Fulton Community Charities and The Place of Forsyth County
As communities continue navigating the “new normal” surrounding COVID-19, Alpharetta City Center, Avalon and Halcyon have joined forces for one time only to create a digital cookbook featuring meals from a collection of restaurants at the mixed-use destinations. “Cooking Together(ish)” goes on sale this Friday and 100% of the proceeds will benefit North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) and The Place of Forsyth County (The Place).
“We’re proud to partner with Alpharetta City Center and Halcyon to bring together some of North Fulton's best chef-driven flavors and support an incredible cause,” said Lauren Ness, marketing manager at Avalon. “From the kitchens at Avalon to everyone’s kitchens at home, we’re excited for Cooking Together(ish) to bring a much-needed spoonful of sugar to the community.”
Alpharetta City Center, Avalon and Halcyon were all built with community in mind. The collaboration between each development’s talented chefs, bakers, restaurateurs and bartenders serves as a reminder that we are all in this together. The thoughtfully curated cookbook features 20 recipes, including appetizers, salads, soups, sides, main dishes and desserts, which were hand selected by the restaurant teams themselves.
Participating restaurants are below:
- Botiwalla (Alpharetta City Center)
- Carson Kitchen (Alpharetta City Center)

“While this year has brought unforeseen challenges, we’ve also seen inspiring examples of people rallying to serve neighbors in need, and this collaborative cookbook is a testament of that kindred spirit,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners and developer for Halcyon. “Across cultures and communities, food is a unifying force that brings people together and we hope these recipes bring a sense of comfort, happiness and togetherness to your home right now.”
The cookbook is available as a downloadable PDF and can be purchased by making at least a $25 donation to either NFCC or The Place. After making the donation, individuals must submit proof of contribution to cookingtogetherish@gmail.com to receive an emailed copy of the book for at-home use.
A sampling of dishes from “Cooking Together(ish)” include Gnocchi Saltimbocca from Colletta, Chai Pani’s Famous Sloppy Jai by Botiwalla and Red Velvet Cupcakes from It’s A Sweet Life.
“All our restaurants at Alpharetta City Center are owned by local Metro Atlanta residents who understand the importance of supporting small businesses and nonprofit organizations who give back to the community,” said Ashley Majors, property manager at Alpharetta City Center. “We are so proud to be a part of this heartfelt initiative alongside Avalon and Halcyon, and look forward to heating things up in the kitchen.”
