City of Refuge to Host Annual Refuge Run 5K on Saturday, March 21

Atlantans invited to traverse streets of historic Westside during Peachtree Road Race qualifier

WHAT: Calling all Atlanta running enthusiasts: local nonprofit City of Refuge will host its annual Refuge Run 5K on Saturday, March 21 at 8:30 a.m. The 3.1-mile course takes race participants through the historic Westside, beginning at the City of Refuge campus on Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW and ending along Burbank Drive NW.

After crossing the finish line, participants will be greeted by a live DJ and rewarded with City of Refuge’s signature Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding. An awards ceremony will also be held following the race, plus, all runners will receive a swag bag featuring an official Refuge Run t-shirt, Chick-fil-A coupons, a Big Peach Running Co. coupon and other City of Refuge-branded items.

The Refuge Run is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and will be limited to 1,000 participants. Presenting Sponsors for the 2020 Refuge Run include Elavon, EY and Lexis Printing & Mailing. Design Coup is a Transformation Sponsor.

WHEN: Saturday, March 21 at 8:30 a.m. Registration opens at 7 a.m.

COST: Registration for the Refuge Run is $35 per participant. If spaces are still available on the day of the race, registration will increase to $45 per participant.
