Arch Street Sells to Hayden Properties

Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of Arch Street, a 267-unit apartment community located in Huntsville, Alabama. Craig Hey and Jimmy Adams of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Waypoint Residential, in the transaction. Hayden Properties acquired the property.

“Huntsville is becoming a top-tier investment locale, driven by its robust job market (No. 6 in the U.S.) and rent growth (No. 5 nationally), strong demographic profile and heavy capital investments,” Hey said. “This was an off-market transaction where we placed a strong buyer who was able to go from contract to close in less than 60 days.”

Arch Street, built in 2009, offers residents top-tier amenities and features including a demonstration kitchen, saltwater swimming pool, children’s play room and sand volleyball court, while maintaining easy access to retail and employment drivers.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Sunbelt Multifamily Advisory Group ranks No. 1 in Sunbelt market share based on more than $4.8 billion in multifamily investment sales through the third quarter (Source: Real Capital Analytics www.rcanalytics.com). Market share reflects sales for Alabama, Arkansas, Northwest Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
