Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that Derek Swanson rejoins as counsel in the Corporate practice. Swanson represents public and private companies in a wide variety of general corporate and corporate finance matters. He also advises issuers, underwriters and other financial institutions on securities and capital market transactions as well as other matters involving US securities law. He previously practiced at Dentons legacy firm McKenna Long and will be resident in the Firm’s Atlanta office.

Prior to rejoining Dentons, Swanson served as vice president, acting general counsel and secretary for a global manufacturer of highly engineered capital equipment with more than US$1 billion in annual revenues. He has three years of experience at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Division of Corporation Finance and seven years of experience with two blue chip law firms.

Swanson earned his JD, cum laude, from Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law and his BA from Purdue University.
