Community invited to run with heart down Avalon Boulevard

WHAT: On Sunday, November 3, the North Fulton community is invited to tie their laces and gear up for the annual Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon and 5K at Avalon. Beginning at 7 a.m., half marathon runners will take off down Avalon Boulevard, followed by 5K runners (or walkers) at 7:15 a.m. Throughout the course, race participants will enjoy a route through some of Alpharetta’s most scenic destinations.

After crossing the finish line back at Avalon, participants are invited to celebrate with a post-race party from 8:30 a.m. to noon. All pre-registered race participants will receive an Alpharetta Women’s Half Marathon 5K shirt, finisher medal, goodie bag and complimentary food and refreshments.

WHEN: The race will be held on Sunday, November 3 at 7 a.m. Information about picking up race packets is included below:

Race packets will be available for participants to pick up at Big Peach Running Company, Lululemon Avalon and Athleta Avalon on Friday, November 1 from 1 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

COST: Entry fees for the half marathon and 5K race range from $25 to $110. Registration cost will fluctuate based on demand.
