A growing awareness and demand for renewable energy sources have propelled the demand for solar power in the United States, where fossil fuels still reign as the predominant source of energy. According to The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, “solar generation is projected to increase from 7 percent of total U.S. renewable generation as of 2015 to about 36 percent by 2050, making it the fastest-growing source of electricity source.”
Leading the charge to increase accessibility to renewable energy in homes is Vision Solar,a full-service renewable energy company based in Philadelphia that was recently named the number one installer by SunPower Solar on the East Coast, and one of the fastest-growing solar companies in the United States.
The company recently expanded into Arizona and shows no signs of slowing down in its mission to provide in-home comfort that is environmentally conscious.
With a combined experience of over 50 years, Vision Solar proudly serves residents throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and, now—thanks to a new Tempe location—throughout Arizona.
Vision Solar plans to hire more than 60 employees, sales representatives, technicians and installers for the Tempe location, which will serve the Scottsdale-Phoenix market—a strategic move, given that Arizona is among the top ranked states for its residential solar capacity and has held its national ranking as the third-largest in solar installation in 2018, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association’s year-in-review report.
“With such rapid national expansion, we are working aggressively to not only educate consumers on the environmental benefits of solar power, but also to increase the accessibility of renewable energy for the average homeowner,” said Vison Solar Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Seibert.
Vision Solar promises savings to consumers who make the switch to solar energy by educating consumers and providing resources for multiple tax benefits applicable.
According to company estimates, consumers can save up to an average of 30 percent on their monthly electric bills, in addition to other savings in the form of tax and financial incentives such as the Investment Tax Credit, allowing customers to deduct 30 percent of the cost of their solar energy system installation from their federal taxes as well as sales and property tax exemptions.
