Anchor Bay Marina on Alabama’s Lake Martin, one of the highest-rated boating lakes in the Southeastern United States, has sold to Lowcountry Marine Group, LLC, a first-time marina investor group based in Atlanta.

The property was listed for sale in June by Colliers International’s Leisure Property Advisors team, led by Andrew Cantor, Managing Director; Matt Putnam, Managing Director; and Dan Grovatt, Director. The team represented the seller, Anchor Bay Marina, LP, in the transaction. The seller originally purchased the marina in 2006. The Colliers team also procured the buyer in the transaction.

The 44,000-acre lake is popular among boaters for its many islands and great fishing. Anchor Bay Marina is a full-service facility located on the south end of the lake on 6.6 acres. The marina includes 48 wet slips, 190 dry racks, and a 1,500-square-foot ship’s store with an active fuel dock. Ancillary services include boat rental and boat repair.

Also included in the sale was a waterfront restaurant building that had recently been leased to a third-party operator. The buyer plans to introduce a new restaurant concept in the space in the future.
