Experience Midtown’s newest urban park on 14th Street, live painting, Latin music and more
WHAT: Colony Square invites the community to celebrate Cinco De Mayo early on Friday, May 3 during a festive “Tres de Mayo” party from 4 to 6 p.m. The party also marks the official opening of The Grove, Colony Square’s new 10,000-square-foot urban park along 14th Street.
Throughout the festivities, an all-female team of Atlanta artists will be live-painting a 2,915-square-foot mural on the north wall of 5 Church facing Peachtree Street. Artists for the project include Lauren Pallotta Stumberg, Molly Rose Freeman, Lela Brunet and Laura Vela, marking the second collaboration for the team following the creation of the 90’ X 90’ mural of Persephone at North American Properties’ recently opened mixed-use community Edge on the BeltLine.
