Experience Midtown’s newest urban park on 14^th Street, live painting, Latin music and more

WHAT: Colony Square invites the community to celebrate Cinco De Mayo early on Friday, May 3 during a festive “Tres de Mayo” party from 4 to 6 p.m. The party also marks the official opening of The Grove, Colony Square’s new 10,000-square-foot urban park along 14^th Street.

During the event, guests will enjoy chips and salsa bars, live salsa dancers and Latin music from the popular group Willie Ziavino & COT Band. Each guest will receive two complimentary drink tickets which are redeemable for a Corona or margarita. The event will also feature a themed photobooth station for attendees to capture the perfect Instagrammable moments.

Throughout the festivities, an all-female team of Atlanta artists will be live-painting a 2,915-square-foot mural on the north wall of 5 Church facing Peachtree Street. Artists for the project include Lauren Pallotta Stumberg, Molly Rose Freeman, Lela Brunet and Laura Vela, marking the second collaboration for the team following the creation of the 90’ X 90’ mural of Persephone at North American Properties’ recently opened mixed-use community Edge on the BeltLine.
