143 home sites offer walkable living with unparalleled access to shopping, dining and business districts
Edward Andrews Homes (EA Homes) announces plans for 143 home sites at RocaPoint Partners’ mixed-used development, Halcyon, in Forsyth County, Georgia, which are expected to begin construction during the spring of 2019.
Situated at the intersection of McFarland Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard, Halcyon is the front door to Forsyth County’s thriving commercial corridor and its affluent residential developments. As one of two exclusive residential builders at Halcyon, EA Homes will construct 42 single-family detached homes and 101 townhomes.
“We are thrilled to be teaming up with RocaPoint Partners to develop dynamic residential offerings for the 135-acre Halcyon development in Forsyth County. The highly anticipated and well-rounded community provides convenient access to everything a resident needs, in one of Atlanta’s fastest growing counties,” said Caroline Simmel, chief marketing officer at EA Homes. “We’re seamlessly incorporating architecture, nature and recreation into our homes to offer an unprecedented and connected lifestyle that’s completely new to South Forsyth.”
Vibrant and active, Halcyon is a walkable community built with a focus on design and active living – working in harmony with the nature around it. The 143 homes serve as an extension of the development’s “village” concept with townhomes and single-family homes bordering a nature trail that leads to a community dog park and the trailhead of the Big Creek Greenway. Townhomes at Halcyon will overlook green space parks and the single-family homes will be adjacent to private wooded areas. Garages will be discreetly located at the back of each home, offering a distinctive and walkable experience for buyers and an urban neighborhood feel.
“Halcyon is driven by connectivity and nature, and EA Homes is a key player, providing spaces for residents to step outside their front doors and easily explore the site, including our connection to the Big Creek Greenway,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners. “On the heels of our successful partnership with EA Homes along the BeltLine in Grant Park, we’re excited to bring their high quality, one-of-a-kind housing options specially tailored to Halcyon, where homeowners will be surrounded by beautiful and relaxing scenery.”
An alternative to conventional developments, Halcyon is a community weaving together nature, design and leisure into one place. The development has 480,000 square feet of commercial space, including a Market Hall and a variety of restaurant and retail offerings. Residents will also have access to Comcast’s 10-gigabit high-speed service, along with a 9-screen CMX theater and office space, as well as two boutique hotels.
The EA Homes portion of the residential component, located just across Ronald Reagan Boulevard, will include Halcyon’s central residential amenity, which offers a pool and clubhouse for homeowners. EA Homes at Halcyon will range from the high $300s to $600s+.
