Associates on the Rise at Stevens & Wilkinson

Stevens & Wilkinson (S&W), a full-service architecture, engineering and interior design firm, announced the promotion of seven key team members at its flagship Atlanta office.

“Promotions are always cause for celebration at Stevens & Wilkinson, as we truly value the opportunity to advance the lives and careers of our associates,” said Ron Stang, principal and chairmanat Stevens & Wilkinson. “As we enter our 100th anniversary in 2019, I’m excited to reward these individuals and know that they will continue to serve our company well in this landmark year.”

Below is a list of the individuals who received promotions and their new titles:

Elected to the Board of Directors:

Kirk Marchisen, AIA, LEED AP, Principal – Director –Senior Vice President­

In addition to his new role as senior vice president, Marchisen will begin serving on theStevens& Wilkinson Inc. board as a director. Now entering his 33rdyear with the firm, Marchisen has been instrumental in growing the Georgia office’sPK-12 education portfolio. Over the last decade, Marchisen has built relationships that have led to projects from the following Atlanta areapublic school systems: Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, Morgan, Putnam, Atlanta and Decatur. He currently serves on the advisory board for School Construction News.

Key Leadership Promotions:

Todd Dolson, AIA,Vice President­

Dolson’s leadership in S&W’s higher education market continues to grow along with the firm’s footprint on campuses throughout the South – including Georgia Southern University’s College of Engineering. He is also the past chair of the Southern Region of SCUP as well as being on the National Council.

Eric Keens, CPSM,Associate –Director of Marketing & Communications

Since joiningS&W in the Fall of 2016, Keens has diligently led the expanded collaboration of the firm’s marketing department. His leadership has significantly improvedthe firm’s presence in each of the markets served.

Promoted to Senior Associate

Dan Boland, PE, Senior Associate–Senior Electrical Engineer

A Georgia Tech graduate, Boland brings more than a decade of experience as a senior electrical engineer. He has worked on projects for Auburn University, 180 Peachtree, Fulton County School System, and Lanier Technical College. His passion and enthusiasm for his profession shows in each project he works on.

Melissa Chanin, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate – Senior Architect­

Chanin joined the firm more than 13 years ago, initially working on the international terminal at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. She has sincebecome one of the firm’s key senior architects on K-12 school projects, includingCrabapple Middle School for Fulton County and a new middle school and high school for Morgan County.

Phil Doele, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate – Senior Architect

With architectural degrees from Yale University and the University of Virginia, Doele has been working for S&W for more than eight years. He most recently played a key part in the design of the new Georgia Judicial Center, serving as Senior Project Architect. As one of the firm’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) advocates, Doele also leads Auburn University’s Gavin Research Laboratory project team, which was recently completed late last year.

Promoted to Associate

Grant Cherrington, PE, Associate – Director of Mechanical Engineering

With more than 25 years of experience, Cherrington joined S&W as the director of mechanical engineering in 2018. In less than a year, he has become a key leader in the Georgia engineering practice.
