Cushman & Wakefield Arranges Sale for MK Asset Management

11/13/18

Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of Gateway Oaks, a four-building flex and industrial campus located in Marietta, Georgia. Boris Garbuz, Pat Murphy and Tara Healy represented the seller, MK Asset Management, in the transaction. Avistone acquired the property, and retained Murphy, Garbuz and Healy as the leasing agents.

“In a neighborhood that has been the destination of aggressive redevelopment efforts by the city, Gateway Oaks is a unique opportunity in the heart of Marietta’s new Franklin/Gateway redevelopment district,” Garbuz said. “The property sits in a prime location within the Marietta Opportunity Zone, the Federal Opportunity Zone, and the HUB Zone, offering an array of incentives for users and investors alike.”

MK Asset, along with Murphy, Garbuz and Healy, have been representing the 152,179-square-foot campus since its original acquisition in 2015. They completed new leases on approximately 30% of the property and were able to extend existing tenants at increased rates. Located on Interstate 75, two exits from Interstate 285, the Galleria and the new Braves stadium project, Gateway Oaks enjoys an abundance of nearby amenities, such as the newly proposed IKEA, Atlanta United soccer training complex, along with hotels, restaurants, retail and the Cobb Convention Center.
