Inman Park destination invites community for trick-or-treating, costume contest, DJ and more

Inman Park staple Krog Street Market is getting into the spooky-spirit this Halloween for its first-ever Monster Prom Halloween Party.

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, Halloween festivities begin with family-friendly trick-or-treating from 4 to 6 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to don their costumes and weave through the destination’s shops and eateries until their bags are bursting with treats. Candy-loving ghouls are encouraged to arrive early, as the first 100 participants will receive a unique trick-or-treating bag.

As night falls, Krog Street Market will come alive for the inaugural Monster Prom Halloween Party from 6 to 9 p.m. Throughout the evening, guests are invited to boo-gie the night away to the sounds of renowned Atlanta entertainer DJ Freddie P; use Halloween-themed props and backdrops to create unforgettable Instagram moments in the photo booth; and enjoy countless spooky specials from Krog Street Market’s establishments.

While you never know what surprises are in store on Halloween, you can count on pumpkin beer at Hop City, fall-themed baked goods at Little Tart Bake Shop, fall cocktails at Bar Mercado, limited edition “Spooky Mermaid” chocolate bars from Xocolatl and much more.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their Halloween-best, as prizes will be given away in categories such as best overall costume, best group costume and best monster makeup; winners will be announced at 8:30 p.m., with the grand prize being a $500 VISA gift card.
