
Clark Atlanta University announced today that the institution and its president, Ronald A. Johnson, Ph. D have been recognized for distinguished service in partnership with the University Consortium of Liberia (UCL) for higher education.
“It is with great honor that I accept this award on behalf of Clark Atlanta University, its faculty, staff, students, alumni, board of trustees, and partners,” said CAU President Ronald A. Johnson, Ph.D. “Our mission is to lift every voice, promoting innovation and collaboration across borders. We look forward to continuing our service in partnership with UCL, igniting new possibilities throughout the Diaspora for years to come.”
The University Consortium for Liberia (UCL) hosted its Fourth Annual United for Liberia Scholarship Program fundraising event Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Georgia State University in the Student Center Ballroom. The Deputy Minister for Planning Research and Development Honorable Alton V. Kesselly, provided this year’s keynote entitled “Early Childhood Education – Educating Liberia’s Future.”
In addition to CAU and Dr. Johnson, Awards were presented to William De Baets, Consul General of Belgium and Mr. Christophe Allard, General Manager Business Development – The Americas Eurowings Group, for their efforts in helping to promote the Brussels Airlines Discount program to travelers going to Liberia.
All Awardees will receive Honorary Citizenship bestowed upon them by the Liberian Consulate in Georgia. The first 50 persons to purchase event tickets to the event will also receive 30% off on their next travels to Liberia.
