The Trust for Public Land, City of Atlanta, Park Pride to join together for community walk to Woodruff Park
Atlanta, GA– The Trust for Public Land, Atlanta Parks & Recreation Commission, partners at Park Pride, Central Atlanta Progress, and local park advocates will participate in a community walk on October 10 to celebrate National Walk to a Park Day. Participants will start at various locations and walk to Woodruff Park, arriving at 10:10 a.m., to highlight the importance of park access and advocate for the Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Amendment.
The Trust for Public Land is leading a national movement to ensure that every person has a quality park within a 10-minute walkof home. This event is one of several community events taking place across the country on October 10 to celebrate National Walk to a Park Day.
