Bert’s Big Adventure Kids Hit the Runway for “Noon to Night” Fall Fashion Benefit at Avalon

6/28/18

Fourth annual fashion show benefitting local nonprofit takes place on Sept. 13

Tickets are officially on sale for North Fulton’s hottest couture experience, the Noon to Night: Fall Fashion Benefit at Avalon in Alpharetta. On Sept. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m., Bert’s Big Adventure children will strut down the runway with celebrity models, showcasing the latest fall collections from Avalon’s fashion houses. For the fourth consecutive year, the exclusive fashion event benefits Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families.

“Noon to Night is an unforgettable evening that combines fashion and magic – a place for the community to come together for an amazing cause - and we can’t wait to illuminate Avalon Boulevard once again with the smiles and happiness the Bert’s Big Adventure kids bring to the runway,” said Carla Cox, director of marketing at Avalon. “With the help of Avalon’s retailers, this remarkable event creates an extraordinary fall fashion experience that positively impacts the lives of local children and their families. We are proud to support this incredible cause and to help dreams come true.”

At 6 p.m., Noon to Night will kick off with a cocktail reception offering fare from Avalon’s chef-driven eateries followed by the “Raise the Paddle” auction at 7:30 p.m. At 8 p.m., the fashion show will commence, and Bert’s Big Adventure kids, along with local Atlanta celebrities, will parade down the runway. After the show ends around 9 p.m., guests are invited to dance the night away to a live DJ with craft cocktails in hand.

Before the Bert’s Big Adventure models hit the catwalk, they will spend the day being pampered with hair and make-up styling sessions, live entertainment and more. Throughout the evening, models will showcase the latest fall styles, each selected by Avalon’s retailers. The name of the event, Noon to Night, is inspired by the array of looks that will be displayed, from early-morning workout clothes to the perfect date night little black dress.

“At Noon to Night, Bert’s Big Adventure kids are treated like royalty,” said Bert Weiss, founder of Bert’s Big Adventure and host of The Bert Show. “It’s a day without hospital visits or medical jargon – a day to simply be a happy kid. We look forward to working with Avalon again this year to provide these families and the Alpharetta community with memories that will last a lifetime.”

Bert’s Big Adventure, founded in 2002 by radio host Bert Weiss, not only sends children with chronic and terminal illnesses on an all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Disney, but also provides year-round support, creating a community of families that establishes long-lasting friendships with others facing similar challenges. Last year,Noon to Night raised more than $50,000 for Bert’s Big Adventure and was also named a top 10 retail experience by nationally recognized publication Chain Store Age.

General admission tickets are now available for $50 and VIP tickets are offered at $150. VIP ticket holders will have access to reserved priority seating along the runway, a private lounge with specialty cocktails and light bites, a private after party and more.
