The Council serves as the global voice of the background screening profession, providing the framework for promoting global standards and ethical business practices through legal compliance and education.
Fairweather is uniquely qualified for this position. She is the Vice President, Operations of First Advantage Canada with responsibility for EMEA, Canada and Latin America. With more than 14 years of experience in the global background screening industry, she has shared her expertise as a conference speaker at HRPAO and consultant on articles for SHRM and Canadian HR Reporter. In addition to her responsibilities as Global Advisory Council chair, she is currently chair for the Canadian chapter of NAPBS and also chairs its Education committee. Traveling between First Advantage’s Toronto and U.K. offices, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and is a member of HRPA Ontario.
