Audubon Communities, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in the acquisition and management of multifamily properties throughout the Southeast, has completed a $700,000 renovation and upgrade of the Corners at Holcomb Bridge amenity building.

The newly renovated amenity building serves as a community center and centralized hub for residents of the 37-acre property. The L-shaped building conveniently wraps around the expanded pool deck that was also improved with new landscaping, security cameras and a card access entry.

“Our investment in the Corners at Holcomb Bridge was a unique opportunity to create something special for residents,” said Chris Edwards, Audubon’s managing director. “These new amenities offer the services our residents expect, while being completed in a cost-conscious and timely renovation cycle.”

Created with connectivity in mind, the community center offers complimentary coffee, Wi-Fi connectivity and features a pool table surrounded by lounging areas. The 1,500-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center features all new equipment and a flexible space for aerobics classes.

The Corners at Holcomb Bridge combines two properties Audubon acquired in 2015: Highland Corners, a 252-unit property that was in an advanced state of disrepair, and its smaller neighbor, the 108-unit Silver Oaks. To date, Audubon has invested $5.3 million in renovations and community upgrades.

“A big multifamily trend, high-class amenities and upscale clubhouses have been a top priority for Audubon,” said Edwards. “With each amenity renovation, we want to create an inviting environment that will foster meaningful experiences for residents and return that value to investors.”

The new community clubhouse is the start of the second phase of the capital investment program for the Corners at Holcomb Bridge. Additional projects slated for delivery in 2018 include construction of a ground-up leasing office containing a new mail room and parcel lockers, a new outdoor pavilion and grill area and an expanded playground with new equipment.
