Unique musical experience coming this May to Colony’s Square’s helipad 320 feet in the air
WHAT: This May, Colony Square is taking jazz to new heights and offering the unique opportunity to experience “Jazz in The Sky,” a weekly musical performance in partnership with the Atlanta Jazz Festival. The event invites jazz enthusiasts to enjoy soothing tunes atop Colony Square’s helipad while taking in breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline 320 feet above Midtown.
Beginning May 1, the elevated experience will be held each Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. throughout the month. The weekly performances will feature Jacob Deaton, a former competitor on America’s Got Talent and 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival headliner, along with a variety of local artists in various trio combinations. Each ensemble will include sounds from instruments such as guitars, bass, brass, piano, drums and more. Performances will also include intimate conversations with the artists centered on music.
The first guests to RSVP via a Colony Square e-blast will enjoy this unique, free experience with a plus one. To sign up for the e-blast, click here. Since space is limited, guests are encouraged to register quickly. Note: access to the helipad requires walking up five flights of stairs. In the event of inclement weather, Colony Square will call the event by 12 p.m.and reschedule to the first Tuesday in June.
The Atlanta Jazz Festival is an annual celebration of jazz music, providing exciting activities and partnered programming around Metro Atlanta from May 1 to May 25.
