Colony Square to Host Earth Day Celebration on April 20 in Midtown Atlanta

Illuminated globe, healthy eats and local artistry bring environmental awareness to community

WHAT: In advance of Earth Day (Sunday, April 22), Colony Square invites the community to celebratetheplanet during an all-day activation on Friday, April 20. At 8 a.m., an illuminated globe will arrive at the center of The Plaza, where its presence will serve as a reminder of the importance of environmental friendliness and protection.

At 11 a.m., Vego Bistro and Sunshine Alchemy will join the party to serve healthy bites until 2 p.m. Also starting at 11 a.m., local Plein Air artists will surround the globe in The Plaza and entertain passersby with live painting in preparation ofthe Olmsted Plein Air Invitational, which begins on April 21 in Atlanta.
