New learning spaces underway at beloved Atlanta institution

For more than three decades, Atlanta International School has been known internationally for its rigorous academic program, International Baccalaureate accreditation and a strong focus on the preparing students for the future.

The Pre-K through 12 school also has language immersion programs in French, German, Spanish, Mandarin and English. To further pursue excellence in these areas, AIS has chosen to partner again with Atlanta-based construction firm SG Contracting to build the Primary School Learning Center, a space designed to continue the school’smission as it continues to expand. SG Contracting is proud to have partnered with AIS since 2007 on multiple projects for the school.

The Primary School Learning Center is a three-story addition to the existing school and library. This will add 21 new indoor and outdoor classrooms, flex spaces, shared work areas and a new cafeteria. The project also will include a 9,000-square foot courtyard, a new curtain wall pavilion and entrance and a mechanical plant upgrades.

The Atlanta International School is a K-12 institution and accredited International Baccalaureate World School known for its foreign language immersion instruction. Students, family, faculty and staff represent more than 90 nationalities, 60 languages and 40 countries.
