Atlanta Artists Center raises awareness for Olmsted Plein Air Invitational in Atlanta’s art capital

WHAT: In support of Atlanta’s fourth annual Olmsted Plein Air Invitational (April 21-28), Colony Square will host local Plein Air Artists in The Plaza on Thursday, April 12. Starting at 11 a.m., contemporary artists from the Atlanta Artists Center, an artist-run center focused on emerging artists,will capture and paint scenes from the vibrant surrounding environment.

Colony Square tenants and passers by are invited tostop by The Plaza during lunch to observe artists, including Peter Ho, Ria Bruns and a few additional local talents,as they gain inspiration to create beautiful, illustrative works of artin real time.

Additionally, threelocal food trucks will be parked in The Plaza throughout the event, creating the perfect opportunity for the artists’ work to be recognized and appreciated by the Midtown community.

As a continued celebration for the upcoming Olmsted Plein Air Invitational, local artists will return to Colony Square to join the Earth Day celebration in The Plaza on Friday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests are encouraged to share their experienceon social media with the hashtag #CSReimagined.
