Hotel management company, Valor Hospitality Partners, has established a dedicated food and beverage team to deliver innovative new hotel dining concepts that rival high street options and have named Matt Gray as its first Global Culinary Director, according to Atlanta-based Euan McGlashan, Valor co-founder and managing partner, and will oversee the entire F&B process.

The move will create a separate food and beverage company operating under the Valor umbrella, working on projects not only in the USA, but in the UK and South Africa as well.

Gray, who has been with Valor since 2013 and brings 28 years of experience to the position, was previously Senior Vice President Chef and Beverage Operations. He spent three years as Executive Head Chef for Noble House Hotels & Resorts and was with Inverlochy Castle Hotel Scotland as Executive Head Chef, where he earned a Michelin star for 9 consecutive years.

Mr. Gray states “I am excited to be part of this new era for Valor Hospitality and look forward to my focus being primarily on Culinary Operations where my true passions lie and where Valor as a company feel there are great business opportunities”.

Euan McGlashan commented, “After watching guests leave their hotels to eat in high street restaurants, we knew that we could improve our offering to encourage them to stay and to entice people to come in from the street to eat.We want to create dining options that genuinely compete with the high street offering in every aspect, from design and atmosphere, to food quality.”
