SkyHouse Coming to Frisco Station

2/19/18

Atlanta-based partners Novare Group and BCDC have begun work on SkyHouse Frisco Station, a 25-story luxury apartment high-rise in the innovative 242-acre, new-urban destination in the heart of Frisco.

“Frisco Station, as the vision of Hillwood, The Rudman Partnership and VanTrust Real Estate, brings together intelligent interwoven design, melding wellness, productivity, and creativity,” said Jim Borders, president, Novare Group. “SkyHouse Frisco Station will be urban mixed-use social center living at its best, combining all of the amenities expected from a premiere luxury development with the convenience and excitement of living within walking distance of work, restaurants, shopping, and of course, the neighboring mixed-use development The Star.”

The 332-unit tower will feature studios and one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with a top-of-market Sky Deck on the 25th floor, including a resort-style pool, an outdoor kitchen, fireplaces, lounge seating and TVs, a pool table and shuffleboard.

SkyHouse conveniences include a state-of-the-art 24-hour gym, yoga, Pilates and cross-training room, dog spa, controlled access entry, parking garage, fully equipped business center with gourmet coffee bar, conference room with Apple TV and WiFi in the common areas.

“The City of Frisco continues to experience unprecedented growth, which has created strong demand for housing options that appeal to residents ranging from young professionals to empty-nesters,” said Hillwood President Mike Berry, Frisco Station’s master developer. “SkyHouse is an essential addition to Frisco Station to help us meet this growing demand. Its features and amenities complement the existing multifamily development, Station House, while meeting the Frisco Station mission of delivering a unique smart, creative and healthy environment.”

SkyHouse is the second urban living community under construction for Frisco Station. Station House is the first and will have 301 units available for occupancy this summer. The Frisco Station development will offer a total of 2,400 urban living units.

Frisco Station has the distinction of being the first mixed-use development in North Texas built on the foundational principles of smart, creative and healthy. The development is designed to integrate office, living, shopping, dining and recreation options, and is unified by a unique wellness program that anchors the community and extensive parks, trails and gathering spaces.

Residents of SkyHouse will live within The Hub, Frisco Station’s centerpiece designed with more than 200,000 square feet of unique food and beverage concepts, innovative entertainment options and diverse retail selections. The Hub is distinctive from other retail districts through its integration of activated parks and open space, and connectivity to the development’s office, medical and residential platforms. The Hub will feature a dual-brand AC Hotel and Residence Inn, both by Marriott, and a Canopy by Hilton, and ultimately include 600 total hotel rooms.

Novare Group and BCDC (Batson-Cook Development Company) are sponsoring SkyHouse Frisco Station in a venture with Stockbridge Capital Group with Compass Bank and Trustmark Bank providing the construction financing. The luxury apartment tower is the 18th delivered by the Novare/BCDC partnership, following other projects in Texas as well as Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Colorado. The program has delivered more than $1.6 billion in new mixed-use development this real estate cycle. Led by Jim Borders and Novare Group, the SkyHouse Frisco Station team also includes general contractor Balfour Beatty Construction and architect Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart.
