Atlanta Builder Jim Chapman Wins Four 2017 GAHBA OBIE Awards

One Silver,Three Gold Including Best Community Service Project

At the 37th annual OBIE Award Ceremony hosted by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA) earlier this month, Jim Chapman Communities, the Atlanta homebuilder who specializes in luxury and 55+ communities throughout metro Atlanta, won a total of four OBIEs: three Gold, including Best Community Service Project, and one Silver.

GAHBA OBIEs:

The OBIE Awards are the premier awards in Atlanta’s new home construction industry and celebrate outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing, remodeling and personal achievement categories.

Gold:

  • 2017 Builder Winner, Detached, $1.5M - $2M Category
  • Best Design Center: The Cottages at Horseshoe Bend
  • Best Community Service Project: IBS Show Home donated to Family Promise of Hall County.

Silver:

  • 2017 Builder Winner, Detached, $400,000 - $499,999Category– Sweet Briar Farms, plus a Silver OBIE for Haven Design Works, merchandiser of Sweet Briar Farms’ model.

Since February 2016, Jim Chapman Communities has started construction of more than six new neighborhoods throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area, including Sweet Briar Farms in Woodstock, Nestledown Farm in Cumming, The Overlook at Old Atlanta in South Forsyth (all age-targeted communities), and Boxwood at Vinings in Smyrna, the Homestead at Ridgewood Heights in Buckhead, and The Cottages at Horseshoe Bend in Roswell. In addition, the company has announced McEver Mill in Hall County, a gated 55+ community that will feature ranch townhouses starting from the high $100s.

Chapman was recently elected 2017/2018 Vice President/Secretary of the Home Builders Association of Georgia; he is slated to serve as the HBAG’s president in 2020/2021.

Currently, he is building under both brands throughout Buckhead, Vinings, Cobb, Forsyth, Fulton, and Cherokee counties.
