Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that Sandra Brown has joined the firm as a partner in the Entertainment, Sports and Media team. Brown, who is admitted to practice in New York and Georgia, will continue to service entertainment law clients.

After launching her own firm in 2007, Brown managed a portfolio of successful clients in the entertainment industry, including multi-platinum selling recording artist and music producer Akon, whose musical credits include Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, and T-Pain. She has extensive entertainment contract law experience with music licensing, multi-million dollar recording, production, and publishing agreements, as well as sponsorships and endorsements agreements. She also has general Intellectual Property and strategic entertainment business counseling experience.
She previously practiced law with the Entertainment and Media Group of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and in-house as the Associate Director of Business and Legal Affairs at So So Def Recordings, Inc. and Artistic Control Management, Inc., the music companies affiliated with hit music producer, Jermaine Dupri, whose credits include Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson.
Outside the office, Brown has devoted considerable time lecturing at universities throughout the Southeast including Georgia State University, Florida A&M University, and Florida State University and non-profit organizations like Georgia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (GLA) and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
Brown earned her undergraduate degree from Nova Southeastern University and her law degree from Florida State University College of Law, where she continues to volunteer with organizations in Florida, like the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) a non-profit organization that creates and delivers innovative scholarship and educational programs for students of all ages.
