Colony Square to Host First “Cooking on The Square” Al-Fresco Cooking Class

The Cook’s Warehouse Chef to lead hands-on cooking demonstration on The Square

In the coming weeks, Midtown will gain the opportunity to participate in yet another signature experience at Colony Square as it partners with The Cook’s Warehouse to host an outdoor cooking class on The Square. The class includes live chef demonstrations and hands-on cooking participation with Chef Nancy Waldeck, delicious food, wine pairings and more. The first class of the Cooking on The Square series will take place on Thursday, June 22 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to cook up this unique new experience at Colony Square in partnership with The Cook’s Warehouse for the community to savor,” said Sara Carville, marketing coordinator for Colony Square. “This series is an innovative new concept that will allow foodies to learn several great summer recipes from some of Atlanta’s top chefs while enjoying the surrounding Midtown energy.”

Visitors of Colony Square looking for a unique date night, a post Father’s Day outing, or even just inspiration for seasonal specialties, are invited to join in on this exciting happening in the heart of Midtown, at the corner of Peachtree and 15th Streets, near the MIDTOWN letters. During the class, guests will enjoy creating go-to summer recipes perfect for upcoming Fourth of July BBQs or other warm weather celebrations.

The Cook’s Warehouse Chef Nancy Waldeck will instruct a partial hands-on cooking experience and demonstrate how to prepare four different summer BBQ themed recipes. A few of the dishes planned for the class include an herby Argentinian style grilled chicken, warm cayenne corn, smoky Spanish potato salad and summer berry ricotta crème with amaretto.

Enjoy an evening on The Square in the most delicious way possible by attending this month’s class and learn recipes that are sure to be the highlight of your next summer gathering. The cost for the class is $79 per person and space is limited. All ingredients, cooking tools, food and beverage will be included as part of the experience.
