Brunner Appoints Randall Hooker as Creative Director

3/9/17

Advertising agency Brunner has hired Randall Hooker as sole creative director of its Atlanta office, overseeing all accounts and a creative staff of six. Hooker will report to Pittsburgh-based chief creative officer Rob Schapiro.

Hooker has worked with Schapiro before, at The Martin Agency, Richmond, where Schapiro was a creative director and Hooker an associate creative director/art director. That relationship was what led to his consideration for the Brunner post. At the time, Hooker worked on accounts including UPS, Tylenol, NASCAR and Experion, better known as freecreditreport.com. The work that Hooker did for Experion quadrupled sales over a two-year period. His first spot for them, in 2008, drew over a million hits in its first week online.

Following Martin, Hooker was a VP/creative director at Digitas, Atlanta, working on Delta and SunTrust, among other clients. And most recently, he was the EVP/executive creative director for small Atlanta agency The Partnership (staff of about 20).

Having been at agencies from giant to tiny, Hooker states: “Brunner is the right size for me. It’s adequately staffed, with all the necessary resources, yet small enough to be nimble and quick, and to allow creative freedom.”

Brunner is a full-service advertising agency with offices in Pittsburgh and Atlanta. Clients include YellaWood, Huffy, 84 Lumber, Mars, Owens-Corning, Mitsubishi Electric, Compact Power, Knouse Foods and Field &?Stream. brunnerworks.com
