“Gartner’s latest evaluation of the market validates Atlantix Global’s position as a leading ITAD vendor for companies looking to refurbish, replace and resell their IT equipment for the highest possible value,” said Jason Jellie, Atlantix Global executive vice president and head of the Asset Recovery division. “Over the past 12-14 months, Atlantix has made additional investments to grow our global logistics and data sanitization infrastructure and further strengthen our core competencies for our ITAD customers.”

Within the 2016 Market Guide, Gartner recommends that infrastructure and operations leaders tasked with managing ITAD risk:

“Focus your ITAD process not only on cost (though important) but also on the dual and material risks to your brand equity of ITAD-related data security and environmentally safe recycling,” wrote Rob Schafer and Christopher Dixon, 2016 Market Guide for IT Asset Disposition, published on November 22, 2016. “When using this Market Guide to evaluate the ITAD market and to compare your specific requirements to service provider offerings, your bottom line priority must always be to minimize risks to your brand, specifically the risks of data security (improperly sanitized drives) and environmentally improper recycling.”

In December 2016, Atlantix Global’s Asset Recovery Service Program was awarded a 2016 Green Supply Chain Award from Supply and Demand Chain Executive.

“Atlantix Global’s R2 standard certification—which focuses on the performance of electronics recyclers in environmental and public health, employee health and safety, security and the whole of the recycling process through final equipment disposition—confirms our commitment to responsible recycling,” continued Jellie. “Our customers see the results of green IT by reducing their footprint of electronic waste, which is produced when electronic equipment is not properly disposed.”

Atlantix Global’s Asset Recovery Services program maximizes the return on investment of a company’s end-of-life or surplus IT equipment, while also mitigating compliance risks when the equipment is refurbished, remarketed or recycled. The program is supported by a global logistics and distribution network, enabling Atlantix Global to manage every phase of the Asset Recovery process.
