Aliño Pizzeria Opens At Mall Of Georgia, Featuring Authentic Neapolitan Pizza

12/15/16

Since opening in 2015, Aliño Pizzeria has earned excellent reviews and passionate fans in North Carolina for its authentic Neapolitan pizza. Starting today, pizza lovers at Mall of Georgia have the chance to taste what they’ve been missing.

Aliño Pizzeria has opened its first Georgia location just in time for the holiday shopping season. The 6,200-square-foot pizzeria, located at the Village next to Chico’s, seats 180 diners inside and 110 on the patio. Hours are 11 am to 9 pm daily, or until the dough runs out.

Aliño’s menu is simple – nine signature pizzas priced from $14 to $16, plus salads, Italian wines, international bottled beers, and desserts. Pizzas cook at 800 degrees in specially designed ovens from Italy. Every pie is ready less than two minutes after it goes in the oven.

Aliño’s cheese, flour, extra virgin olive oil, and truffle oil are all imported from Italy, as are its Citterio pepperoni and sopressata. The sausage is made by an Italian family who lives north of Milan. Aliño takes pride in using San Marzano tomatoes in its sauce and all natural ingredients in its recipes.

Like the original Aliño in Mooresville, N.C., the Mall of Georgia location feels like a little corner of Italy. The pizzeria features long community tables, Italian music, European soccer on TV, and huge sacks of flour from Naples lining the walls.

Pizzas range from the Margherita, with housemade tomato sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella, and fresh basil, to the Diavola, featuring spicy Italian salami and Calabria peppers, an Italian chili pepper. Add a Capri salad or the Blue Mix salad, with apricot vinaigrette, glazed pecans, Gorgonzola cheese, and blueberries. For dessert, try housemade gelato, cannoli or sfogliatelle, an Italian pastry. “We’re excited to introduce Aliño to all the visitors at Mall of Georgia,” says owner Michal Bay.

Aliño Pizzeria recently opened at Concord Mills outside Charlotte, N.C. Additional Aliño pizzerias are being built in former mills in Fort Lawn, South Carolina and Jefferson, Georgia.
