Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Amy Oraefo as counsel in the firm’s Entertainment, Sports, and Media Practice. Oraefo previously served as in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 company in the areas of corporate and intellectual property law. Her experience adds to Taylor English’s roster of successful in-house attorneys.

Oraefo counsels small businesses, independent musicians, music producers, songwriters, independent film producers and athletes on drafting and reviewing various agreements, including recording, publishing, production, licensing, management, producer, talent option, consulting, operating, and confidentiality agreements. She also has experience in the formation of business entities, such as professional corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, filing and maintaining federal trademark and copyright applications, and drafting, negotiating, and reviewing licensing agreements.

In addition to her legal work, Oraefo has served as a writer and contributor for The Huffington Post and Huff Post Live where she provided both personal and professional insight to a national and international audience. She also serves as the board chair on the board of directors for the Mary Parker Foundation, and is a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, The Recording Academy, and the Sports and Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property Law sections of the State Bar of Georgia.

Oraefo earned her undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her law degree at North Carolina Central University School of Law.
