Stonemark Collects $20,000 for Food Bank

11/17/16

Stonemark Management, an Atlanta-based multifamily real estate company, has collected more than $20,000 for the 2016 Atlanta Apartment Association Food-a-Thon. The yearly food drive benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB).

ACFB serves 755,000 people in need each year. With each dollar donated, the nonprofit organization can provide more than nine dollars in groceries for someone in need.

The Food-A-Thon, the Apartment Association’s most significant annual charitable contribution, is believed to be the largest food-and-fund drive in the U.S. This year’s theme was Lights, Cans, Action! In June, Atlanta apartment companies started raising funds and collecting donations of nonperishable food. The campaign ended with an Oct. 14 parade at ACFB headquarters and an awards gala in November.

The Food Bank distributes the donations through a network of 600 nonprofit partner agencies in 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties. Stonemark has participated in the Food-a-Thon for several years running.
