Peak Capital Partners Recapitalizes Asset with Programmatic Joint Venture Partner

Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Group arranged joint venture equity and senior financing for the recapitalization and refinancing of the 276-unit Hickory Trace multifamily community in Nashville, Tenn., for Peak Capital Partners, a Utah-based multifamily investment and management company.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Mike Ryan, Telly Fathaly, Brian Linnihan and John Alascio represented Peak Capital Partners. The community is located in the Antioch submarket, which is 12 miles southeast of downtown Nashville and adjacent to Global Mall at the Crossings and the Ford Ice Center, which is the practice facility for the NHL’s Nashville Predators. Working through a GSE correspondent relationship with KeyBank, Cushman & Wakefield procured a seven-year fixed-rate loan with a four-year interest-only period. The joint venture equity was provided by The Olayan Group, an international investment company, through a programmatic relationship that the Cushman & Wakefield team helped to establish in 2015. This transaction marks the 11th individual investment the partnership has pursued since formation.

“The financial and operational strength of the partnership gives us the ability to present a wide range of financing options and execution flexibility,” said Fathaly, Senior Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Equity, Debt & Structured Finance Group.
