Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is among the speakers scheduled to participate in “Exploring the Value of Sustainable Infrastructure,” hosted by Rubicon Global and the Wharton Initiative for Global Environmental Leadership (IGEL). The conference, scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 18 in San Francisco,
will investigate macro- and microeconomic solutions to sustainable business and highlight trailblazing municipalities. Disruptive business leaders, entrepreneurs and government officials will gather to discuss market-based solutions to some of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. Key themes will include: resiliency of smart cities, supply chain innovation through technology and the future of the circular economy.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Wharton IGEL and bring this event to San Francisco,” said Rubicon founder and CEO Nate Morris. “Rubicon is disrupting one of the world’s toughest industries – garbage – and we’re excited to hear from other innovative leaders in business and government who are tackling big challenges.”
In addition to Mayor Reed, speakers will include representatives from IBM Smart Cities, CHEP North America, the Environmental Defense Fund, Council on Foreign Relations, Rubicon Global and other innovative leaders in technology and sustainability.
