Pete Chronis Joins New National Trade Association Dedicated to Promoting Technology Security Policies
The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) announced Pete Chronis, Chief Information Security Officer for Turner Broadcasting Systems, has been appointed to serve on the NTSC Board of Directors as a Founding Board Member.
The National Technology Security Coalition (NTSC) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that will drive the national dialogue on technology security in the United States. The mission of NTSC is to effectively forge a coalition of information security stakeholders to help reverse the accelerating pace of disruption to our nation’s information systems.
NTSC’s primary initiative will be advocating on regulatory and legislative policies that impact the technology security industry. Also, NTSC will drive the national dialogue by conducting educational thought-exchange forums, and delivering professional development programs to equip members with innovative cybersecurity solutions.

As the CISO for Turner Broadcasting, a $10B media, sports, and entertainment company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Pete is responsible for Turner’s information security operations, architecture, governance, compliance and business continuity programs designed to protect the company and its global portfolio of more than 100 brands.
Pete has more than 15 years of experience using technology to manage risk across a number of industry segments including retail, media, entertainment, financial, and IT services companies. He is the inventor of several innovative proprietary IT security technologies that together have blocked more than 750 billion threats and prevented more than $100M in fraud. Prior to Turner, Pete was the Chief Security Officer at EarthLink where he was responsible for the company’s security program and product portfolio. He also developed sophisticated proprietary fraud detection systems for Lynk Systems, an Atlanta based financial services company that was acquired by the Royal Bank of Scotland and is now called WorldPay.

Pete joins a prestigious board of CISOs from leading companies such as Aflac, Ellie Mae, AutoNation, HD Supply, Signet Jewelers, Synovus, InterActive Corporation, Epsilon, Motorola Mobility, TaxSlayer and the State of Georgia. NTSC will be hosting a panel discussing The Current Impact of Legislative and Regulatory Policies Impacting the Cybersecurity industry at the EC-Council Global CISO Forum on September 16th in Atlanta, GA.
