Chamberlain Hrdlicka announces that its Atlanta office will host the quarterly Tax Forum at the Cobb Galleria on Thursday, September 15 from 7:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Chamberlain Hrdlicka shareholder David D. Aughtry will address the biggest issues for closely held companies and their owners, focusing on strategic opportunities for getting the best results. During the forum, Aughtry will cover major developments with audits, including Section 7491 burden of proof, document production and defenses, the ability of the POA to handle interviews under Section 7521(c), the choice of going to appeals by way of protest versus petition, appeals letter briefs, the choice of trial forum and circuit, deciding how detailed a petition should be, the use of experts and, time permitting, trial and briefing.
