Connell & Cummings LLC, a new Atlanta firm launched in February 2016 by two of Georgia’s leading family law attorneys, is pleased to announce  K. Jeanette Holmes has joined as an associate. She is the firm’s first hire, and was previously with Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle in Atlanta.

Holmes assists mothers and fathers in resolving complex child custody issues that arise in the context of divorce, paternity, modification, and contempt matters. She also has broad experience representing parents dealing with addiction and mental illness and the resulting impact on custody litigation.

Holmes has handled family law hearings and trials in the Superior Courts of Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, and Cherokee Counties. In addition, she obtained statewide courtroom experience as a student-attorney for the Barton Child Law and Policy Center while still in law school. Currently, Holmes provides pro bono representation for victims of domestic violence through the Safe Families Office of the Atlanta Volunteers Lawyers Foundation.

Holmes holds a J.D. from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University. She lives in the Peachtree Hills neighborhood of Atlanta with her husband, William.
