Teri A. Simmons
Teri A. Simmons, leader of Arnall Golden Gregory’s International / Immigration Practice and the German Business Practice, has been elected to the Sister Cities International Board of Directors.
Ms. Simmons formerly chaired Atlanta’s Sister Cities Commission for more than 10 years. She was elected an at-large Sister Cities International board member at the group’s 60th Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., on July 15, 2016.
Sister Cities International is a national organization of 570 member communities with relationships in 2,300 locales worldwide. Volunteers with Sister Cities participate in various initiatives to foster harmony and understanding among nations, economic development, and cultural and student exchanges.
Prior to leading Atlanta’s Sister Cities Commission, Ms. Simmons managed the city’s programs with Nuremberg, Germany. A fluent German speaker, Ms. Simmons received the Friendship Award from the Federal Republic of Germany and the Prize of Honor from the City of Nuremberg for her work in international economic development and cultural exchange.
At Arnall Golden Gregory, Ms. Simmons manages corporate, employment and immigration legal services for foreign businesses and individuals investing in the United States.
