Following a job opportunity, this Baton Rouge native relocated to Atlanta in 2000. “I love living in Georgia,” she says, “though I really do miss the Louisiana Cajun cooking.”

Outside of work, Smith stays fit by walking and enjoys quiet time reading a good book. She lives in Lithonia with her daughter Madison and their poodle Dave.
